Joe's Blog School Ambassador - Welsh opening doors

ADD ALT HERE

Over the past two years my views on Welsh have changed significantly. I remember sitting in a class trying to pass my GCSE second language. A lot has changed last year. Now, I feel like part of a family, of a community, of the new world.

The world is changing into the future - I'm starting to look for work in Welsh, volunteering for the biggest events etc. Especially as a learner or second language person that's scary because it's hard to believe in yourself. Once you realise how much Welsh is everywhere it will change your world.

Although I don't study Welsh at university or even fully in Welsh at school I'll try to complete projects and modules through the medium of Welsh. I'm a firm believer that language is learned through experience.

So the point of my blog is to live your best life BUT in Welsh. Listen to the podcast, watch the film, go to the concert, explore the beautiful culture and the history Cymru has to offer.

Learning Welsh is an experience that changes you as a person – it's more than a language, it's a way of life.
