Grants

The Strategic Development Fund at Coleg Cymraeg

Do you have an innovative idea that would enrich our provision for students?

Coleg Cymraeg offers a series of various grants that support innovative and creative schemes.

Some grants are for individuals and others are schemes with an element of collaboration.

The Collaborative Fund

This Fund is for lecturers who are eager to collaborate with other institutions that provide higher education, in order to enrich the students’ experience.
The fund supports two main elements, which are

  1. undergraduate modules; and
  2. activities and conferences.

This can include transition activities or activities that contribute to the experiences of current students. We are also open to applications in order to support the organisation of conferences.

Small Grants

Do you have an individual project that you wish to use to enrich the higher education provision within your organisation?
Is it likely to continue for a year? Could it lead to publishing or sharing good practice?

This Fund supports innovative and creative schemes with up to £2,500 that would ultimately achieve the above aims.

We will publish at least one round of small grants every year. Every establishment can present up to five applications.

Innovation Grants

This fund looks specifically at our associate lecturers, and the aim is to create more opportunities to collaborate with educational institutions beyond Wales.
The applications can include:

  • innovative schemes,
  • education and/or research projects,
  • field trips and sharing good practice which will ultimately extend and/or enrich Welsh-medium higher education provision.

It is possible to present applications worth up to £3,000 for year-long projects. Contact the Coleg Branch Officers for more information about this grant.
