Information pack

At the end of the academic year, we will arrange a conference for scheme members to come together to share good practice, and to give awards to acknowledge the contribution of individuals through their work in the sector. You are welcome to nominate colleagues for these awards:

  • Innovative educator award
  • Award for special contribution
  • Award for enriching the experience of learners/apprentices

You won’t have to do anything to join the scheme. The idea is that this is a way for you to receive the latest information from us, and to hear about training opportunities.

Raising confidence course

Incorporating the Welsh language

We want to ensure that there are enough staff who can speak bilingually to learners in colleges across the country. There are many ways in which we can help you to become more confident when using Welsh in class.
One session that could be helpful is the session on identifying bilingual resources, which will give you more confidence to support learners in your class who speak Welsh.

All through the academic year, we will be hosting webinars for staff to come together to share good practice. These sessions will provide you with an opportunity to develop your bilingual teaching skills.

We want everyone at the college to feel confident using however much Welsh that you have in your work. Email for more information.

Sgiliaith is the name of the company that runs the National Staff Development Programme on behalf of the Coleg. It can work with you to support you to use more Welsh in class. Click on the button below for more information about the training opportunities with Sgiliaith (Prosbectws-Sgiliaith.pdf
