Audience: Learners of Welsh Second Language Year 10, 11 + 12
The aim of the day is to give learners who will be studying AS/A-Level Welsh in September 2024 an opportunity to prepare for the next academic year, experience elements of living and working bilingually, and get a taste of studying Welsh at university. Also an opportunity to get Year 10 interested in the subject and start thinking about choosing Welsh A-Level next year.
As a celebration of Welsh, the day will include a variety of study sessions, workshops, discussions, stalls, music and a chance to socialise. Contributions from Nia Morais, Welsh-language Children’s Laureate; Mewn Cymeriad; Aleighcia Scott; School of Welsh at Cardiff University; Department of Welsh at Swansea University; and more. The exact programme will be announced shortly.
All activities will be free of charge, and the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol can also contribute towards the travel costs of schools and individuals to get to Cardiff. Everyone will need to bring their own lunch.
