Staff Development Workshop

A conference for A Level and BTEC Level 2 students studying Agriculture and also Business, Geography or Environmental and Baccalaureate subjects.

The Conference is an opportunity to hear about the different jobs and industries available in the field, not just traditional farming. It will be an opportunity for the students to hear about ways to grow a business or venture into a new field of work. We'll also hear about how different local initiatives have succeeded.

Schedule

10.00 Registration and a cup of tea

10.30 Presentations by:

* Paula Roberts - Renewable Energy

* Wyn Morris – Food and Agriculture

* Emyr Parker – Sustainable Forestry

12.00 LUNCH – a free food package for attendees and an opportunity to talk to stalls from different rural companies

13.00 Workshops:

* Ben Gregory and Gwenllian Spink - Yr Orsaf, Penygroes – hub and community activities, café, accommodation, etc

* Rob Bowen - Branding Welsh produce

* Rebecca Jones ac Eifiona Thomas-Lane

15.00 – End

Transport

A contribution of £75 towards the cost of travel fuel to the Conference will be offered to schools and colleges wishing to attend.
