Defining Welsh-medium and bilingual provision in HE

The Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol's Guidance On Defining Welsh-medium and Bilingual Provision in Higher Education provides guidance on how to calculate and report Welsh-medium provision. The guidance is published following consultation with the sector and colleagues at Medr.  

The first section provides a summary, before going into further detail - using extensive illustrated examples. The main purpose of the Guide is to ensure that higher education modules that include an element of Welsh-medium or bilingual learning are accurately and consistently defined across institutions and departments. 

The student’s experience is a priority, and providers should ensure that the information about the Welsh-medium and bilingual learning experiences and opportunities are clear and understandable to them.

Providers are expected to follow the guidance in calculating, defining and reporting on Welsh-medium provision.
