- Following the 'Future Destinations' module?
This is a chance to win £200 for the pupil as well as £100 for the school for submitting the best 'Enterprise' or 'Social Business' project!
Background
The Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol, in collaboration with the Joint Education Committee for Wales and the Business departments of Welsh universities, is organising a competition for Welsh Baccalaureate pupils that are following the 'Future Destinations' (Cyrchfannau’r Dyfodol) module.
Within the Future Destinations module, pupils can deliver a project relating to Enterprise and Social Enterprise. The module asks pupils to create a 'business' plan for a commodity/resource/event that makes a contribution to a community, either local or more broad.
Competition details
The Coleg Cymraeg's new competition will reward:
- The most original or innovative idea or the idea that will make the biggest difference to the community.
- We also want to reward the best idea that uses the Welsh language as part of the idea.
Entries must be submitted in Welsh only.
How to compete?
Teachers must submit their students' work to s.jobbins@colegcymraeg.ac.uk.
The project is part of the Welsh Baccalaureate 'Future Destinations' module so it does NOT require any extra work from the pupil. We ask that that the teacher or centre decide on the best project/projects and that they submit them to us. Please note, submissions must be in Welsh.
What then?
Judges, which include business lecturers at Cardiff Met, Aberystwyth, Bangor, Cardiff and South Wales universities, will choose the best projects.
Prizes
- £200 to the winner
- £100 each to three runners up
Each school of these top four winners will also be awarded £100 each.
- £100 - There will be also be a 'Gwobr Menter' for the project that makes the biggest difference to the Welsh language
