Initial Teacher Education Officer
Are you an organized and creative individual with an understanding of the field of Initial Teacher Education and experience in project management?
The Coleg is looking for someone to take on an exciting role in teacher training, which includes: promoting opportunities for prospective students and undergraduates to train as teachers and coordinating the Dysgu’r Dyfodol mentoring project.
Ensuring an education workforce with Welsh language skills is key to the success of the Welsh Government’s Cymraeg 2050 strategy to create a million Welsh speakers and to implement the Welsh Language and Education Acts. By working
with partners such as the Welsh Government, initial teacher education providers, and the Education Workforce Council, the Coleg aims to encourage more prospective teachers to train and to support efforts to ensure they receive top-quality training that enables them to teach through the medium of Welsh or to teach Welsh as a subject.
